Created in 1993, Beanie Babies were designed as simple toys. By the mid-’90s, Beanie Babies became a hot collectible. In 1999, Ty Inc announced they were ending production of the popular item.
Collectors from around the world forced the company to reopen a year later. While Beanie Babies still exist, they won’t match the massive impact made in the ’90s.
