13. Rise of the Mixtapes
We know that many aspiring hip-hop artists promote themselves through mixtapes, but 80s kids were skilled at creating mixtapes for fun.
All they needed was their favorite radio station and some blank cassettes tapes. You could record all the best songs in thirty minutes or even an hour. This is something today’s kiddos won’t get to experience since they generally get their music through music streaming services.
