Auschwitz
The Auschwitz concentration camp speaks for itself. The atrocities committed here by Nazi Germany are unspeakably cruel and disturbingly real. Approximately 90 percent of the Jews sent to this camp died within its walls. By no means an easy place to visit, it is nonetheless important to acknowledge this site’s history.

Kabayan Mummy Caves
The Kabayan mountains in the northern Philippines are home to caves of mummies dating back to 2000 BC. These mummies are unique because the individual would drink a salty drink just prior to death. And then they underwent a lengthy drying process after death. Their haunting presence makes these caves one of Earth’s scariest places.
