15. Inline Skates
Inline skating was the alternative for bike riding and skateboarding. People looking for something more exhilarating took up aggressive inline skating. This form of inline skating took off in the late ’90s with appearances in the X-Games.
Outside of competitions, inline skating was also part of a massive journey. In 1996, explorer Jason Lewis crossed the United States on inline skates.
