Released in 1998, Furbies were on everyone’s Christmas list. The robotic toy sold 14 million units one year after its initial release. Furbies were accessible to anyone around the world with over 24 programmed languages.
During its initial run, 40 million Furbies were sold. Furbies were revived twice since 2002, but they couldn’t match the success during the ’90s boom.
