5. Golden Era of Hip-Hop
Hip-hop music’s roots go back to the mid-70s, but by the 90s, it reached its’ peak and popularity in amazing ways.
Some popular hip-hop artists from this decade include:
- Outkast
- Snoop Dogg
- Tupac Shakur
- Notorious B.I.G.
- Das EFX
- A Tribe Called Quest
- The Pharcyde
- Wu-Tang Clan
It is also important to note that the hip-hop world was rocked with tragedy in the 90s. Rappers Eazy E, Tupac Shakur, and the Notorious B.I.G. all died within two to three years apart.
