If you have a knack for styling hair, then you can work as a hairdresser. You would work mostly in a salon full-time or on a part-time basis depending on the number of clients you have during the week. Another idea would be to open your own hair salon. Every state requires hairdressers and barbers to be licensed. You would generally obtain training at an accredited cosmetology school or cosmetology program at a vocational school. You can also get hands-on training with an established stylist in addition to your education. Once you receive the training, you would pass a state licensing exam. The duties of retail managers include hiring and training employees, managing payroll, preparing the budget, developing strategies for promoting new products, scheduling shifts for employees, maintaining proper stocking of inventory, ensuring a safe environment for customers and enforcing company policies.

The average salary is $123,100 according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
