Emergency medical technicians respond to medical emergencies, examine a patient’s condition, carrying patients to the ambulance and hospital, perform CPR on patients, and report observations to hospital staff. To enter this career, you’ll need a high school diploma and you can receive training at a community college through an accredited EMT program. You can earn up to $23.00 per hour.
