Electricians primarily install, maintain, and repair electrical systems for homeowners and businesses. They generally get training through an accredited program at a community college or trade school.
They also work as apprentices under a more established electrician. Electricians will need to pass a state exam before obtaining a license. They can earn up to $54,000.
