One of the Tallest Men in History, Feodor Machnow, Stands for Photograph – 1900s
Feodor Machnow was one of the tallest men to have ever lived. Though his management recorded him as being over nine foot tall, it is largely accepted that he was in fact almost eight foot tall. He was toured around the world throughout the 20th century due to his stature, and many crowds were shocked by his extraordinary sight.
The Hand of the Statue of Liberty Under Construction – 1800s
One of the most iconic pieces of architecture featured in history, right up to the present day, is the Statue of Liberty. However, this statue did not come ready-made. Pictured here is the hand of the statue under construction, demonstrating the enormity of its eventual appearance. It has certainly stood the test of time.
