Our good friend Mickey Mouse has been through numerous changes over the decades he’s been around. Pictured here is the first sketch of Mickey, drawn up by none other than Walt Disney himself. Though this certainly isn’t the first ever drawing of Mickey, it is the earliest recorded, and provides a fascinating insight into the icon’s origin.
Alan Turing With the Very First Computer – 1950
Alan Turing was a British man who helped decode Nazi plans and messages throughout World War 2. It is estimated that his work saved the lives of fourteen million people by shortening the war through this message interpreting. This was done using his incredible invention of the Turing Machine, pictured here. It provided the origins of the computers we know today.
