2. Sign up for Swagbucks
Swagbucks is another site where you can earn money by taking surveys and watching videos. You can earn gift cards to a bunch of cool stores and restaurants. Again, it takes a while but you can make a few bucks if you stick with it for a few months. We recommend having the videos playing while you’re doing other things. Swagbucks is the definition of make money working from home or better anywhere you have wifi.
3. Do some freelance writing
If you love to write, there are a lot of opportunities out there. Most publishers will pay you $100 or more for an article. The response time is usually around six months, but this could be something to explore if you want to market your skills and make some extra cash. You can search for outdoor publishers, women’s publishers, or history publishers if you write non-fiction articles. A great place to start is Verblio.
4. Do some freelance photography
If you love photography, many magazines will pay a generous amount for your work. Some magazines want articles with photographs and they usually pay more. Other magazines want only photographs, but you still have a ton of opportunities. You can sell or license your photography to websites like Shutterstock.
5. Sell clothing and shoes online
If you’re getting rid of stuff that you’ve fallen out of love with, you might want to consider selling it online. There’s no guarantee that this will work, but if it does you can make a bit of extra money. Check out the app Poshmark to sell clothing and shoes online. This is this the most cliche way to make money working from home but if you have extra stuff to sell, it’s the easiest.
6. Do some freelance editing
If you are really good at editing other people’s writing, you might want to look into online editing jobs or freelance editing. You can earn a good amount of money for editing someone’s books, articles, or essays these days. It could be an excellent supplemental income. This is an especially good gig if you already have some professional editing experience under your belt. If you don’t, you might want to consider taking a class or two on the subject. Post your editing services on Fiverr and set your own competitive rates.
7. Get paid to write book reviews
There are several sites and magazines that pay for book reviews. If you’ve read a book recently that’s made a significant impact on you, this could be a great way to make some extra cash. Some sites will assign certain books to you and some magazines will only accept reviews about certain types of books, so look at the guidelines before submitting your work.
