Tara Chklovski
With a background in aerospace engineering and a home brightened by two little girls, Tara Chklovski founded Iridescent.
The nonprofit organization aims to bring STEM programs and education to underprivileged communities around the world. Although there has been a positive shift in recent years, historically, girls were encouraged to pursue careers in science, technology, mathematics, and engineering at a far lower rate than their male peers. Chklovski aims to change that statistic for good.

In order to raise her kids and maintain consistent contact with her job and all of its duties, Chklovski works from home. She says that her responsibilities as a parent and as an entrepreneur are tightly interwoven, and she learns from both every day.
Since Iridescent was founded in 2006, it has provided STEM education programs to over 22,000 kids across the globe. All of the work teaching these students is thanks to the employees who work flexible schedules to bring knowledge to kids everywhere.
