This Gothic Revival mansion built in 1911 is a maze-like fortress and a popular place for tourists in Toronto. It has a long and tumultuous history, including as a place for secret sonar testing in WWII. Because of this, Casa Loma has an air of mystery that fascinates visitors.

This abandoned city was the main site of the 1986 Chernobyl Nuclear Plant disaster. Countless pets, children, and families were exposed to dangerously high levels of radioactivity, so they had to evacuate. Now, this still-radioactive location is a phantom of the happy lives people once led. Simply looking at the eeries photographs sends chills down your spine.
